 We have willfully limited the range of instruments to two octaves. There
 are a number of reasons for this, some of which are covered in the answer
 to your previous trac #1305. The principal reason is that TamTam is smple-
 based, meaning that they tend to sound pretty bad when they are transposed
 too high. Another is that the speakers on the XO cannot render low
 frequencies very well. Choosing a base frequency that is audible along
 with an acceptable sound quality at higher transpositions yields two
 octaves which is musically useful and eliminating the need for other keys.
 The keys are organised in a piano layout as two rows providing a single
 octave in black and white keys. Providing extra keys on the right side
 would be musically awkward. Believe it or not, the majority of the world's
 music (even western music) is playable on a range of less than three
 octaves...
