#1274: X.org on build 368 fails to start on ATest1

     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone: Untriaged
Component: distro | Keywords:

Tested with the old BIOS (a somewhat dated LinuxBiOS) and with Q2B85. This
was tested against 2 different large-ish LCDs. The symptoms are

  - OpenFirmware detects the screen alright and displays coherently

  - The linux console shows huge fonts, perhaps doing 40-chars wide
display on 19-inch monitors (this may have to do with the options we
 are passing to the kernel)

  - X.org log says that it could not find any usable screen sizes - I
think that DDC probing is fsck'd but I only tested it with 2 monitors.

My initial analysis of the Xorg.log is that it is complaining that no DCON
is present, and then it discards all modes saying "not using default mode
X (bad mode clocke/interlace/doublescan)". So mode pool is empty, and no
 valid modes are found.

Is this worth reporting? I appreciate being able to use my board, but I
can see it's a drag to support.
