New description:

Occasionally, a USB high speed device (USB mass storage) will be detected
as a full-speed device instead. This was detected when OpenFirmware
failed to find the device in the high-speed list and assumed that no drive
was present. The behavior in OpenFirmware has since been fixed, but the
question as to why the device is detected as
a full-speed instead of high speed is open.
