Comment:

 I go back to my question: why is one trying to unload a driver that is in
 active use in the first place?  I would have thought that a driver that
 had an open FD on it would not be unloadable...

 Even if the system should prevent such oopses, I sort of think you deserve
 what you get reloading drivers while a device is potentially active.

 I also think that this, being nominally operator error, can be shoved
 until later.
