 This is not a preempt bug.

 AKPM has a workaround patch I wrote a little while back, but the problem
 is that the input layer lacks locking.

 The patch is available at the following URL, note AKPM's comments on it.

 As noted, this does not really fix the real problem, but it lets us reload
 i8042 while X is running, so we should consider using it for now.
