 We just got our hardware today.

 I can not update the machine as per
 http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Autoreinstallation_image

 keyboard has non-functional a ,z ,e, d,c   keys
 None of the work arounds(as describe in above link) work as the open
 firmware prompt can't use a usb keyboard and I can't boot the patch from
 the usb drives I've tried.

 The failures occur on every boot so far ,rebooted multiple(10+).

 Due keyboard error I can not check usb devices.

 OLPC B-test, 247 MB Memory Installed
 OpenFirmware CL1 Q2A42 Q2A
