 On the new touchpad samples, we are unable to switch from GS mode to PT
 mode, despite issuing resets and everything seeming to work, when we have
 a gs-down bit.

 We just continue to get GS packets.

 The sequence we're using is FF, F5, F5, F5, F5, F5, F2, F2, F2, E7, F4.

 This is working just fine when we don't have the gs-down bit showing in
 packets.

 We're not getting any errors from anything in the sequence either.

 This is proving a problem, especially in combination with #556.
