[OLPC Brasil] language and squeak

Hi,

while Paulo's initial message was in Portuguese I noticed a few people
currently on the list who might not be able to understand that language.
So should the discussions here be in English, Portuguese or some mix of
the two? This is a good preview of the kind of problems we will be
facing ahead.

Another part of Paulo's message was about Squeak. The role of Squeak in
OLPC is something I am particularly interested in. Given Alan Kay's
participation many people (including me) assumed it would be one of the
main features, but Alan has been very careful on the olpc-software list
not to push his own interests over what others want to do.

apesar da mensagem inicial do Paulo ser em português eu reparei que tem
algumas pessoas atualmente na lista que talvez não entendam esta língua.
 Então será que as discussões aqui devem ser em inglês, português ou
numa mistura das duas? Isto é uma boa prévia do tipo de problemas que
estaremos enfrentando mais adiante.

Outra parte da mensagem do Paulo foi sobre o Squeak. O papel do Squeak
no OLPC é algo que me interessa bastante. Dado a participação do Alan
Kay, muita gente (incluindo eu) assumiu que seria um dos aspectos
principais, mas o Alan tem tomado muito cuidado na lista olpc-software
de não forçar seus próprios interesses no lugar do que os demais querem
fazer.
