Greetings list members,

Since I broached the topic of closing down this list nearly a month ago on August 20th, we had a very brief flurry of of e-mail messages in August , all in the "considering closing down" thread.

While some used that thread to mention other things (e.g. to observe that the latest XO Tablet runs Android under the covers, or to ask about iPhone accessibility, or to mention related work on Ubuntu), I haven't seen any concrete discussions about OLPC accessibility advancements. And no further traffic to the list in September.

What I have seen are a few +1 "votes" for closing down the list. And several hundred more SPAM messages.

So... unless someone writes to me volunteering to take over list management, I plan to close the list down in the coming few days.

Regards,

Peter

Greetings list members,

Our mailing list for discussing all things related to the accessibility of the One Laptop Per Child project has had no substantive traffic for nearly a year. Beyond a little "just a test" flurry in January , the list has been silent since a 3-message thread on September 27, 2012 about the OpenDyslexic font , which took place 11 months ago (and as is clear from the list archives , activity has been tapering off since 2007).

Meanwhile every day brings tens of SPAM messages that collect in the list filter, waiting for me to periodically wade through them and clear them out.

Therefore I propose that we close this mailing list down. Alternatively, if someone else would like to take over maintenance (and SPAM filter clearing), I would be happy to pass the baton.

Regards,

Peter
