If you mean the green fills from the top left and then stops before it
gets all the way ...

It usually means the file on the USB drive is incomplete.  Check the
md5sum against the download directory, please.

Doesn't matter, but good to know.  Power supply being unwell should just
stop laptop from working at all.

Getting half way through an install will result in useless filesystem,
you must finish the install fully before trying to boot.  (That is to
say anything you experience after a failed install is really
uninteresting.)

lsusb was removed as not being required, sorry about that.  I guess some
space was saved.
