Testing Moodle on School server
Our setup is XS-0.6 on an SD card in an Asus Eee PC 701 with Zyxel Prestige
600 wireless access point.
Had everyone editing a different course each (so all teachers of just one
course and students of other courses) and adding resources and activities to
their courses. Tried each others activities.
Found tool tips that normally appear on other Moodle servers don't appear in
the Browse activity.
If you click on a question mark or click "upload a file" when editing a
resource, you can no longer type in any of the boxes.
Wiki pages add 3 extra line breaks to the end of the page each time you save
them (but the same thing happens on Moodle on other servers so not XS
issue).
Would be good to change the default for courses to have less blocks - so
only the admin block appears by default, no other blocks - keep it simple?
Had issues with quiz in one course - could not get students to take the
quiz. Disabled date ranges and changed back any settings changed and still
cannot enter it as student. Not sure why.
Chat activity does not work at all. Get option of enter the chat or version
without frames and Javascript - nothing happens. Maybe disable or remove
chat module? Could be just because we don't have any pop up capability.
Does not seem to matter if we use an XO-1.0 or XO-1.5 laptop.
Had soas mirabelle drop a core which got processed by abrt. It seemed to be
physics that crashed, but it prevented shutdown. Moved from usb running
natively on laptop to virtualbox so the network would work (laptop wifi not
supported, used vboxmanage to copy the usb into a vdi), installed gdb and a
bunch of debuginfo packages and examined core. Raised ticket
