[Testing] Which activity to test?

Hi Bob,
Do you have an XO laptop? And are you willing/able to get a developer key so
you can load the developer builds?
Or, if you can load the emulation version on your own computer, there are a
number of activities that you can test that don't depend on the hardware.

If you can test latest builds, then I would recommend you start with the
core activities pretty much from left to right along the task bar at the
bottom. You can skip chat and spend time on the browser, write, etc. If you
DO load latest builds (from 'joyride' stream right now,
http://xs-dev.laptop.org/~cscott/olpc/streams/), please review and add to
the 'Test Group Release Notes':
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Test_Group_Release_Notes, in the 'Joyride'
section.

If you are not able to load latest builds, then I would recommend that you
start or work towards the right end of the list. Those activities, even
though they are shipping, have gotten the least amount of testing.

The next step would be to send bug reports to 'help at laptop.org' -- or, if
you are proficient in testing (which it sounds like you are), then register
with our bug tracking software (dev.laptop.org), and first get comfortable
searching so you can be pretty sure the bug isn't already in trac. Then go
ahead and add some bug reports.

We don't have a lot of people who are capable of sifting through the trac
system for duplicates, so if you really aren't sure whether something has
been entered, don't hesitate to send it to 'help' first.

Please check out and bookmark the 'Test' section of the wiki where there are
links to test configuration notes, Release notes, etc.

Thanks!
Kim
