AbiWord provides the foundation for the write activity within sugar. Very recently we discovered critical bu in our 2.6 series which manifested itself as inconsistent layout and printing.<BR>
<BR>
Fixing this required substantial changes to our core graphics rendering classes. This might have affected AbiWord's (and hence Write's) ability to render bidirectional text and complex scripts.<BR>
<BR>
Unfortunately our core abiword hackers are not proficient at either of these so I'm asking for help from people who know about bi-directional text and/or complex texts.<BR>
<BR>
Please build our stable branch of the our code and report your tests to abiword-dev@abisource.com.<BR>
You can checkout the correct branch with this svn command.<BR>

You'll need the development versions of a number of libraries to build abiword though if your ever managed to build write via sugar-jhbuild you'll have what you need already. More information is in abiword-2.6/docs/build.txt<BR>
