There's a reasonably complete tutorial for OLPCGames 1.6 available here:

It does networking (both direct use of Telepathy and via the OLPCGames 
wrapper), file-storage, graphics rendering and interactivity.  There 
*are* other parts to activities, but it's a reasonable first tutorial 
that covers the bulk of the process of creating an activity.
