You need to create ~/.olpc.jhbuildrc and add skip = [ 'python' ]. You 
need to do a full build though , so you probably want to do a separate 
sugar-jhbuild checkout to try this out.

Do a "sugar-jhbuild list" to make sure python is actually no more in the 
module list.
