Three minutes is a quadruple.  We saw similar with OLPC OS and systemd<br>
and fixed the offending services.<br>

It will take a systemd debugging session to find which services are<br>
the cause.<br>

Cause might or might not be MariaDB, but it's a good candidate to<br>
investigate; stop it first using systemctl, then see if shutdown is<br>
faster.  Pre-shutdown shutdowns can be a quick and easy test, but may<br>
still need in-depth debugging.<br>
<br>
When shutdown does not work properly, RTC synchronisation may also be<br>
affected.<br>
