Do you mean the fdroid apk? I am talking about mirroring the fdroid repo on the server :)

Often times, users need to install apps on their android phone without internet connectivity. One application that allows this is f-droid.

While it is easily possible to download apks hosted by apache, using an application like f-droid might offer better ux.
