No, neither.

I was describing a classroom network design procedure, on the
assumption that channels 1, 6 and 11 would be the channels used by
designer, and reminding the designer that the scoring system should be
repeated for each channel.

If you choose to deploy with interfering channels for some reason,
then extend the procedure to each channel used, and extend the
procedure further to include a score for interfering devices on
adjacent channels.

This does raise the point that the procedure should already be
extended for unintentional interfering devices on channels 2, 3, 4 and
5, but that would make the procedure so difficult as to be unlikely to
be used.
