I can replicate this issue as well. What currently works for me on
0.6d2 is to turn off ejabberd in the SysV scripts and just start
ejabberd manually using ejabberdctl start. Of course this doesn't
give me the nifty stuff like the autoconfiguration/detection which
init.d/ejabberd provides. So it must be something in the way ejabberd
is started in the SysV script?
