I don't know, but if you are using anything older than 0.5.2 then you
are likely to see problems in this area. Might be worth reinstalling
just to make sure. And be sure to carefully follow the installation
instructions including setting up the shared roster.

Do not use the web interface to add users.
After connecting to the appropriate network on the XO, hover over the
XO figure and click Register. Then restart sugar. Run olpc-netstatus
to ensure that gabble is being used (not salut). That's it. Never
attempt to delete a user - you don't have any reason to do so.
You do not need to specify the jabber server.
