I've completed the Beta Server hardware description in the wiki here:

Here are the key areas I cover:
The parts that I purchased to put the hardware together 
The method of assembling the parts into one machine 
Final steps to set up the BIOS 

There should be sufficient detail for someone looking to put together 
their own XS School Server, and
it should match the original requirements for EduBlog project.

The BIOS 0402 is a little of one year old, and there is a newer one from 
November 2007.  Let me know
if it is worth the trouble to try to get this upgrade now before I send 
the machine to Glen?
