Stefan,

the XS team is getting reinforcements Real Soon Now :-)

One thing that would be great is to break the big problem down into
smaller, more manageable chunks (a lot of it has been done already),
and try and see what parts we can narrow down and resolve. One at a
time.

If you get a lot of responses to that forum post, drag those
volunteers here, and ask them to help on one or more of said parts.
After all CentOS == Fedora for most practical packaging/configuring
matters.
