This is a good point. I will try to keep it in mind as I go. It's a
bit easy to fall into the habit of bypassing rather than improving bad
documentation.

If you're not careful we'll end up with mi_NZ.UTF-8 as the default
locale and have words like centre and colour correctly spelt.

We're still using CRTs at the OLPC Wellington HQ. It makes it easier
to pick out the XS from the sea of XOs.
