All,
   Here is a list of the indicators planned for the school server.
I keep meaning to put it on the Wiki, but might as well get comments
before posting it there.

Power (green)
System status (green/red)

WAN status (green/red)
Mesh activity 0 (green)
Mesh activity 1 (green)
Mesh activity 2 (green)

LAN port 0 activity (green)
LAN port 1 activity (green)
LAN port 2 activity (green)
LAN port 3 activity (green)
LAN port 4 activity (green)
LAN port 5 activity (green)

Disk 1 status (green/red)
Disk 2 status (green/red)

All LEDs (and a reset pushbutton) are on the front of the server.
The Power and LAN activity LEDs will be driven directly by hardware.
There are no LEDs located on the RJ-45 connectors, as they are
placed in a location where no one would ever see them.

The system status LED, in conjuction with the Mesh and Disk LEDs, will
be used to indicate POST codes.
System status = green
    -> successful POST and boot
      Mesh and Disk LEDs indicate Mesh/Disk activity

System status = yellow
    -> system POST/boot in progress
      Mesh and Disk LEDs indicate progression (32 steps possible)

System status = red
    -> system POST failure
      Mesh and DISK LEDs indicate last succesful test (same codes as
above)

Comments ?  Suggestions ?
