Hi all,

It's my great pleasure to announce the public release of the
specification for Bitfrost, the OLPC security platform. A short
introduction and summary, along with an explanation of our approach in
lay terms, is available on the Bitfrost wiki page:

   http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Bitfrost

The page also contains a link to the full spec, available here:

   http://dev.laptop.org/git.do?p=security;a=blob;hb=HEAD;f=bitfrost.txt

This is an architecture-level specification; while it covers the
complete OLPC security model, it does not go into gory implementation
details. A followup specification, currently slated for release in late
March, will discuss implementation strategies and issues.

To offer comments, please join the OLPC security mailing list:

   http://mailman.laptop.org/mailman/listinfo/security

I look forward to your feedback!
