<div>My name is Michelle Shaw. I am the educational director of HOPE:
Rwanda, a not-for-profit organisation. For the past 6 years we have
worked directly with the Ministry of Education in Rwanda in the
up-skilling and training teachers and trainers in Rwanda.</div>

a Rwanda's education system and developing strategic training content
to meet these needs.</div>

<div>Our past achievements include:</div>

<li>implementing a 3 year teacher trainer pathway to train existing
targeted teachers as National Trainers for the Ministry of
Education(over 600 teachers )</li>
<li>retraining existing primary teachers in Rwanda in Nursery
education to set up and run local nursery schools</li>
<li>implementing special education training for Rwandan teachers</li>
</ul>

<div>Our 2010 projects include:</div>

<li>Assisting MINEDUC develop the English curriculum teacher
training materials to retrain 31000 Rwandan teachers in the next 2
years to teach in English</li>
<li>Using a moodle for a teacher mentor program with existing
leaders in education</li>
<li>Training middle management in MINEDUC( District Inspectors and
heads of TTC's-Teacher Training Centres) in student centred learning
and ICT</li>
<li>Training lecturers at KIE(Rwanda's tertiary institution for
B.Ed- Secondary teachers) in ICT in education</li>
<li>Co-Writing the module for the B. Ed (Secondary) at KIE in ICT
in education</li>

<div>I am a great believer in organisations working in synergy
together, each bringing their part. I will be in Rwanda during July
coordinating our projects at KIE and MINEDUC.</div>
<div>I would like to possibly arrange a meeting with the coordinator
of the Laptop and Learning Centre regarding ways we could work together
in the future. </div>
