I am drafting a "short" list of instructions that will go from the

Minister to the schools. The purpose is so that the schools will take

OLPC seriously as an important government mission and not just

something to do as a favor to us.<br>

<br>

The list will include things like:<br>

<ul>

  <li>Laptop initiative is an important government initiative and

therefore incumbent on the schools to devote energy to it</li>

  <li>Time must be spent in classrooms with laptops on a regular basis</li>

  <li>Arrangements must be made so that children take laptops home</li>

  <li>Teachers must be given regular weekly time for training on how to

use the laptops effectively in the classroom</li>

  <li>Children should be given time to work on more advanced laptop

learning projects</li>

  <li>[There will be one aimed at using laptops in a project-based way

to improve literacy, research and 21st century skills]</li>

</ul>
