We will meet with Dr. Matthias and re-launch the volunteer program from
KIE. We had been waiting for you and Silvia for this as this was one of
the tasks you volunteered to lead. However, we cannot continue to wait.<br>

Still, let's make several distinctions:<br>

<li><font color="#000099">volunteer program (using volunteers from
the universities or others so inclined to support the schools and to
learn)</font></li>
<li><font color="#000099">intern program (taking the good volunteers
and asking and paying for deeper service (like Jimmy and Desire last
year)</font></li>
<li><font color="#000099">olpc staff (augmenting Jimmy and Desire)</font></li>
</ul>
<font color="#000099">We need to launch the internship program
immediately. Due to ongoing issues with the COre Team and the delays at
Mineduc, we need to take immediate action for the laptop program to
have any momentum and results. We cannot do everything ourselves.
Therefore, we need to launch these programs, which are beneficial in
their own right, immediately.<br>

If people see that this program is a continuity of the volunteers program, we will assure more volunteers both in community attachment and in the volunteers program.
Well, these are my 2 cents ideas.

I remember some volunteers from Kagugu: Victor and BUNANE Theogene (really
good to work with children), Pie and Lote( good to explore the laptop).
There are also Janvier (??) and another that did a really good job in Etoys
(he did animation drawning each frame) during our workshop (I don't know
his name).
