[Repairs] screen stays grey

Hi!
I am having a rather strange problem:

When I turn on my XO-1 the back light turns on and the screen is grey but
nothing else is happening. Apparently no cheat codes are working. The laptop
is running build 767 Firmware q2e18. The laptop was running fine when I last
used it 5 months ago. I’m sure that I could fix the problem if I would have
a clue what is going on. I think I will dissemble the laptop and see if I
can get some useful information using the Open Firmware prompt via terminal.

Please let me know if you have some hints for me,
