</ul>Peter is coordinating a time to meet with Rob, Vicky, and Sally for hopefully Thursday or Friday of this week, so that we can decide a launch date for the week of March 30th. Once this time is set, we will email the OLPC_Boston list with this information. The reason why it was postponed was due to a special schedule these past few days at CFS and the need for one final meeting all together.<br>
<br><ul><li> What's happening on deployment day?
<ul><li> Have the teachers agreed with - and helped to design - the "kids get laptops" event? This is something to be discussed during our meeting this week.<br>
</li><li> Have the parents been informed? Yes--Peter has already introduced this pilot project to the parents. At the XOXO Cambridge Friends School pilot launch event that One For All held at the One Laptop Per Child offices, we were able to speak with a few parents from CFS to tell them more about the XO and the use of the XO in the classroom.<br>
</li><li> How will the students be told about the laptops and the responsibilities they will have by being part of this deployment? Another topic to be discussed during our group discussion this week. The kids will probably be leaving the laptop at school the first 2 weeks, while they are getting acquainted with the XO.<br>
</li><li> Are volunteers welcome to come observe and/or help out? This is the moment we've been waiting and working towards, too! Yet another item to be finalized. Most likely, a prearranged, limited number will be able to observe.<br>

</li><li> What are good dates/times for the XS team to come set up the server at CFS? As Katelyn and I mentioned several weeks ago, the tech loop team should use the contact information for the IT Consultants/CFS staff members to find a time that best works for their schedules to come and set up the server.<br>
</li><li> What are good dates/times for the XS team to come and work with teachers on how they can use the server (if they choose to)? Same answer above applies.<br>
</li><li> When is a good weekly day/time (or days/times) that the
Curriculum team can come to serve as in-classroom technology
specialists? This will be decided during our meeting with the teachers this week. Katelyn and I have been working on curriculum plans these past several months, so I think we should reconsider the naming of "Curriculum team" to include students from both Olin and Harvard, as we've all been developing plans for XO integration into the curriculum. We're very excited to have the opportunity to collaborate on such an important part of the pilot!<br>

I agree with Peter here, I think all the groups I've talked to recently have reached the same conclusion, so it seems like we're all headed in the same direction already. :)<br>

I put up a webpage where we can put the things we'd like to bring up, so that it's all in one place instead of a long email thread. Click the "edit" link next to "Upcoming topics," add your ideas, and click the "save" button - and let me know if I need to explain wikis better. ;) I put a few of my ideas to get started. We might not have time to talk about everything, but at least we'll know what questions are out there.<br>

I'll peek in on this every evening and see if enough people have responded / enough times have been narrowed down to set a specific time suggestion, but I'm hoping for Thursday or Friday of this week (between spring breaks of the two schools we have undergraduate team members from, Harvard and Olin).<br>
