EPHAS Summer 2011 Newsletter

Summary:
Since our previous newsletter was released, we have established more relationships, implemented more pro- grams and touched the lives of more participants, both domestically and internationally. Stepping outside of the academic realm, EPHAS has continued to make strides here in the United States which are beginning to pay off, allowing us to help our own with the same formula that we use elsewhere while staying at a reasonably affordable price-point.
Internationally, we have begun working in new locations in Cambodia, including orphanages and a safe-house for those who are threatened by child trafficking. We have established connections in Kenya and will soon be led by acclaimed author and musician, Emmanuel Jal, into South Sudan where we will watch the beginnings of a country through the eyes of those experiencing the hard- ships instead of relying on outsiders to translate their world for us.

We have also added partners of other kinds, letting EPHAS’ roots be- come much stronger every month. The future is very bright for EPHAS and those who share the same focus.
