La clonación se basa en pasar un calco de sistema de computadora a computadora. Es rápido y simple si todas las computadoras en cuestión son idénticas; pero si alguna tiene la más mínima diferencia el método se va al diablo. Ese es el defecto que tiene la clonación. La ventaja es que, para el que instala, si tiene que hacerlo con una gran cantidad de máquinas le ahorra pila de tiempo.</p>

Toma en cuenta las diferencias entre unas máquinas y otras porque no pasa un calco de sistema si no que arma el sistema en el momento de instalar. </p>

Después, cuando el flasheo se empezó a hacer por cualquiera que supiera hacerlo y tuviera un pendrive con la imagen, no entiendo porqué se sigue usando clonación. Cada persona tiene todo el tiempo del mundo para reinstalar su propio sistema, creo yo. Más teniendo en cuenta que las XO están mayormente rotas y sin arreglo porque no se fabrican más. Deberían hacerse instalaciones normales. Al fin de cuentas, cualquier idiota instala un sistema hoy en día. Y si se puede hacer un tutorial sobre flasheo, se puede hacer uno sobre instalación común. De esa manera podrían usarse razonablemente bien, aunque la XO en sí misma tenga partes con mal funcionamiento.</p>
