It's that time of year again: oversight board election season!

seats are to be selected over the coming months. The timeline[1]

- 2011-11-07 23:59 EST: Deadline for applications for
membership.<br>
- 2011-11-12 23:59 EST: All membership applications processed.<br>
- 2011-11-15 23:59 EST: Candidate list closed.<br>
- 2011-11-16 17:00 EST: Ballots sent by email, start of voting
period.<br>
- 2011-11-30 17:00 EST: Voting period ends.<br>

I'll send out additional emails as we near each of the
deadlines.<br>

== Membership ==<br>
<br>
If you haven't yet applied for membership in Sugar Labs, please
do so.<br>
If you're wondering whether you meet the requirements, if you're
a<br>
teacher using Sugar in your classroom, regularly reading mailing
lists,<br>
or have discussed Sugar in IRC, you probably do.<br>
<br>
Follow the instructions on the wiki[3] before the deadline to
ensure<br>
your vote is counted! You can find a list of current members
online[4].<br>

If you or somebody you know should be on the ballot, make sure

publish an announcement of candidacy to IAEP, and put your name

list[2] before the end of October.<br>

== Election processes ==<br>

Our election will be hosted at Selectricity, a service of the
MIT Media<br>
Lab. Ballots will be sent out via email, and votes will be
anonymous.<br>
All members are eligible to vote.<br>
