Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  I found some resources
for you on OLPC in Nigeria - not sure if you've seen them:

To get hold of computers in volume, you'll need to work with the OLPC
Foundation: http://laptopfoundation.org/purpose/ .  Note that there is
a difference between OLPC Foundation and OLPC Association.

In terms of technical people, it depends on where you're looking for
them and what help you think you need.  There are plenty of OLPC
deployments that you might tap into for advice...have a look at those
Daniel Drake (a techie from the UK) has visited:
