<div>Hi Guys,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks. I setup a template and user space (at least I think I did :-) on my user page at:</div>
<div><a href="http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:Gregorio">http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:Gregorio</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>I will prefix any pages with the NPS: to put them in the right namespace. Let me know if that looks good or you have any suggestions before I start slicing and dicing the Newton data in to pages.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I don't think Newton is a potential XO customer but they did run a 1-1 laptop trial at my kids middle school. See: <a href="http://www.wickedlocal.com/newton/news/education/x1919584159/Newtons-Bigelow-tests-the-future-of-high-tech-teaching">http://www.wickedlocal.com/newton/news/education/x1919584159/Newtons-Bigelow-tests-the-future-of-high-tech-teaching</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>It was for 6th graders and my kids are in 8th so we didn't participate. Not sure how it went or even what brand netbook they used. I'll let you know if they ever issue any reports.</div>

<div> </div>
<div>I'm actually more interested in Special Education these days than technology in education so I don't track this stuff too closely.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>HTHs.</div>

<div>Thanks,</div>

<div>Hi All,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I hope everyone is doing well! The project looks vibrant and active as always :-)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I have been getting more involved in education in my home town: Newton. I have been looking for a place to create some wiki pages related to that and I thought of your wiki: <a href="http://wiki.laptop.org/go/The_OLPC_Wiki" target="_blank">http://wiki.laptop.org/go/The_OLPC_Wiki</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Newton's school committee has a directory browse level web site where they post all their documents: <a href="http://www.newton.k12.ma.us/schoolcommittee/_documentsFY11/" target="_blank">http://www.newton.k12.ma.us/schoolcommittee/_documentsFY11/</a></div>
<div> </div>
<div>I'm tired of picking through that to get the info. I would like to reorganize it and put it on a web site where I can access it more easily. I can spruce up my semantic wiki skills that way too.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Let me know if anyone has a problem with me building some Newton specific pages on your site for that purpose. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I wasn't sure of which list to post this one so let me know if it should go somewhere else.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks,</div>

<div class="im"><font color="#888888"><br>To quote someone famous, "</font>It is an education project, not a laptop project". I won't say no, but I don't feel I have the authority to say yes either, that probably requires a call from SJ.<br>
<br>From the link you gave, it looks to be about 75 files and a total of 37 MB of space. Probably a lot less than the extensive but rarely visited "Korean OLPC plan pages" that many have noticed on the site after poking around for a while.<br>
<br>It would certainly be best if you kept your pages down a well-defined branching hierarchy, maybe in your user space if it is for your own purposes (i.e. not spread out all over the top-level of the wiki). I would suggst that you make yourself a little template you place on each page saying something like "This page is about Newton Mass, not OLPC" to avoid any confusion.<br>
