Thanks so much for the translation, I had been working on an English summary<br>
as well but got distracted by 4 days of traveling;-)<br>

Personally I won't have the capacity to really work on this front,<br>
particularly since OLPC (Austria) is currently also applying for two grants<br>
and as always the paperwork takes much longer than anticipated.<br>

However I'm available for bouncing off ideas and reviewing drafts or whatnot<br>

Qué polémica....Hola Lista, generalmente no suelo participar activamente, pero esta vez me he sentido muy involucrada, sobre todo porque leo como los "sabedores" como yo los llamo opinan tan enfáticamente sin conocer o sin aceptar una realidad llamada "docente". Por primera vez en la historia de las tecnologías se ha creado algo con un fín educativo.Historia de la PC y de toda la tecnológía, si bien los docentes hemos aplicado tecnologías (Proyectores, Radiograbadores,T.V. D.V.D) ninguna de estas ha tenido o ha sido creado con fines educativos.<br>

Esta polémica, en la cual, por supueto los<br>
programadores y desarrolladores opinan y los usuarios también opinan. Cada uno<br>
desde su punto de vista y con sus razones.<br>
<br>
En lo personal estoy muy de acuerdo con lo que<br>
dice esta nota claro, desde mi punto de vista usuario docente, el cual de<br>
programación y desarrollo sabe muy poco.<br>
<br>
Soy una consumidora pasiva de sugar, no puedo<br>
aportar nada porque nada se del tema y lejos estoy de poder aprender. Lo<br>
que si puedo asegurar es que los desarrolladores y programadores siempre han<br>
puesto en un muy alto nivel a Sugar y todo lo que la Xo trae, pero se han olvidado<br>
que los Docentes, somos eso Docentes y muchas veces aunque queramos<br>
aplicar las NTICs. nos vemos limitados por los medios.<br>
<br>
No dudo que sugar y todas las actividades que traen<br>
las XO son buenas y ha permitido, por su costo, que nuestro país tenga una<br>
realidad de acceso a las NTICs en la educación como muy pocos países del trecer munco, lo tienen.<br>
Tampoco discuto el hecho del aprendizaje significativo y creativo que se<br>
logra cuando el "usuario" utiliza soft. como scracth, etoy, etc. etc.<br>
Pero también sé y soy fiel testigo que los otros soft. también producen este<br>
tipo de aprendizajes y motivan a alumnos a docentes a seguir creando.<br>
<br>
No creo en los extremos, cada quien puede crear,<br>
aprender a prender y más utilizando aquello con lo que más cómodo se sienta y<br>
no considero que sea condenable que para ello se elija un software propietario<br>
llámase Windows o como sea.<br>
<br>
Tampoco se puede negar que uno de los puntos<br>
débiles de Plan Ceibal en cuanto a la aceptación fue sugar; algo completamente<br>
nuevo, completamente desconocido en Uruguay para el 95% de los docentes y<br>
que evoluciona día a día ( no lográs aprender a utilizar una versión al 50%<br>
cuando ya aparece otra).<br>
<br>
Esto último, totalmente maravilloso pero no está<br>
acorde con la realidad de los usuarios docentes.<br>
<br>
En coclusión; dejando de lado la disyuntiva del<br>
software libre y del software propietario: "Bienvenidos los docentes que utilizan<br>
las NTICs. para lograr aprendizajes significativos." "Bienvenidos los<br>
docentes que utilizan las NTICs. para no hacer más de lo mismo""Bienvenidos los docentes que se ponen a la par de sus alumnos y aprenden juntos, haciendo realidad por primera vez el paradigma educativo que se refiere a que el alumno es el verdadero centro del aprendizaje y no el docente."<br>
