Está basada en una experiencia personal mía y la pensé más que nada para un taller con docentes para reflexionar de qué manera podría utilizarse (o no) un recurso como Google Art Projects. </FONT></SPAN><FONT FACE="Lucida Grande"><FONT SIZE="5"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:18pt'>Google en conjunto con 17 de las galerías más importantes del mundo dieron el vamos a Art Project, una especie de galería virtual en donde podemos visualizar más de mil obras pertenecientes a dichas instituciones.<BR>

</SPAN><FONT SIZE="5"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:18pt'>Lo interesante del proyecto es que podemos realizar un recorrido virtual por el interior de los museos en donde se exponen las galerías, para lo cual Google utilizó la misma tecnología aplicada en Street View.<BR>
</SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'><BR>
</SPAN><FONT SIZE="5"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:18pt'>Sumado a lo anterior el visitante del sitio podrá apreciar cada una de las obras con una calidad incluso superior a como las podríamos ver en vivo y en directo, para lo cual la compañía utilizó una tecnología de captura de súper alta resolución o “gigapixel”.</SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'> <BR>

</SPAN><FONT SIZE="5"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:18pt'>Dentro de la lista de museos y galerías que es posible “recorrer” se encuentran el MOMA de Nueva York, Reina Sofía de Madrid, Tate Britain y The National Gallery de Londres y la Galería de los Uffizzi en Florencia.<BR>

</SPAN><FONT SIZE="5"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:18pt'>En total fueron necesarios 18 meses de trabajo para materializar el proyecto, contabilizándose un total de 1.061 obras de arte pertenecientes a 486 artistas.<BR>
