Another quick update. I tried registering a XO 1.75 and I'm seeing the same issues as the XO 1.5 that doesn't register. It can ping the schoolserver and can access the log-in page.

Sorry I forgot to report last time that the admin laptop does see both unregistered laptops in the "list of users" section with their correct SN numbers. I checked idmgr of the XS and it's running and the correct SN reporting on the admin XO 1.5 makes me think that the XS "sees" these laptops but I'm not sure if it's seeing their UUID correctly. I tried logging in with their SN/UUID as username and passwords but didn't expect much from it because they were unregistered to begin with (or should I?) I also tried doing a stop and start of the idmgr.

Anyone else have any suggestions on what I could try? Thanks in advance.

--Cherry

On Fri, Mar 16, 2012 at 3:45 PM, Cherry Withers <cwithers@ekindling.org> wrote:

Check to see if the XO is remembering the address of the last XS it
was registered to. In Sugar: Settings -> Network, "Server" box. If
there is anything there, clear it and try again.

(yes, this behaviour is questionable)
