just posted the Following to Modern Ghana
Glad to learn about this SKCDA One Laptop per child project. There are
many advantages that should accrue to students equipped with these
machines.
Once linked by a local area network (LAN) students and their teachers
can collaborate in solving problems. This may be a most important
advantage.
Reading free electronic books is another. These can be "served" to
each laptop via the schools LAN. Either students or teachers can
download these at their favorite cyber cafe.
Bringing the Internet directly into the Korase District Assembly
Experimental School is another important step that will enable its
students to better access the world of learning.
I hope to be back in Ghana in a few months and will try to visit the
school. In the meantime please let me know if you have further
questions.
