Sameer,
I do not think the Sheevaplug will make a very good school server as
the Sheevaplug has insufficient I/O. On the other hand the OpenRD
Client should make a reasonable XS as it has a ton of I/O including 2
ethernet ports each running at 1 Gbit.
Mind you the Sheevaplug would make a decent asterisk server for a
small village.
I am currently using the Sheevaplug as a webserver and have it set it
up so it boots off of a 2.5 inch HDD I placed in a USB enclosure.
Trying to decide whether to ruin its uptime by bringing it to the
meeting on the 22nd.
I am waiting for the OpenRD Client kernel patches to make it upstream
before I start working o the XS ARM port.
My understanding is that the XS is going to be re-based to Fed 11
which would make things simpler for me as there is Fed 11 for ARM.
Not sure if I will make it to the picnic..
/Robert H.
