<p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span>On September 19, 2009, Jerome Gotangco and Rowen Iral
represented eKindling and One Laptop Per Child at the Software Freedom Day
event (SFD), which took place at the National Computer Center in Quezon City. In
addition to participating in the global celebration of SFD, the duo increased
awareness about eKindling’s mission, OLPC and Sugar. Five visitors even

<p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span>On September 10, 2009, <span> </span>Sandeep Chandiramani, Jerome Gotangco and Ryan
Letada represented eKindling at Y4it – an annual IT event that attracted more than
20,000 delegates from colleges and private institutions across the Philippines.
In front of a 100+ audience, members of the core team presented Sugar and
eKindling’s mission. At this event, we also encouraged students to create applications
and content for the Sugar Operating System. Luckily, we had positive responses from the crowd. We even had two provincial colleges express their interest in future collaborations to help create educational content for Filipino Children!
