Hi Janet and everyone,
Let me first introduce myself....I'm mafe and currently been an active
volunteer for OLPC. I'm mentoring some community support projects there in
the Philippines.
I just recently introduce OLPC to some guys in SFC Meralco chapter, if they
can play around the XO activities, to support any deployment we'll have
there. And they're very interested ...currently they have 100 kids that
they visit weekly teaching them they're kids from Gawad Kalinga. They're
looking into sponsors to have this pilot going. There groups consist of
teachers and IT professional volunteers for Singles for Christ ...supporting
Gawad Kalinga Sagip kids.
So, if your company is interested in working with this guys...I can give to
you their contact number...and we can work together to pilot an OLPC project
with the Sagip kids.
I'll be visiting the OLPC main office in Boston this June. So, if there's
something that I can help, please do let me know.
