[OLPC-Philippines] End Year get together for OLPC Philippines

Hi all,

I knew that the end quarter of 2008 would be very fast and busy for
all of us here so we got to miss some key things we would like to
accomplish and I wasn't that optimistic on the schedules. That's very
much understandable though. Last week, me and Ryan Letada met and
discussed a lot of stuff about OLPC and some ideas on moving forward.
Ryan will be in the country for the next 9 months for his research so
we're trying to brainstorm a lot of stuff that he can contribute with
while he is here.

So we thought an end year get together would be appropriate for us to
start, especially to those who have XOs with them and also extend it
to people who are interested in joining and charting out what we would
like to accomplish in the next 6-9 months. I am scheduled to be out of
the country by the last week of December and come back 2nd week of
January so the best dates for me would be until the 20th.

Basically we're just going to have a social gathering, nothing
serious, and it also gives a chance for the rest to meet up face to
face. We're looking into two possible areas, one in Ortigas and the
other in Quezon City at the Trinoma mall where there are lots of
places to hang out as a group. Since we don't have any funds this
would be a Dutch Treat.
