Hi Everyone and kumusta!!

My name is Athene Chan and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I grew up in
the Philippines but now working for Red Hat Asia Pacific as CS
Supervisor (many thanks to Sandeep who helped that along, eternally
grateful!)

I've been following OLPC in Red Hat and randomly pestering people for
news on when it would go to the Philippines. I have 2 friends from
APNIC who are making laudable efforts in trying to get computers and
computer knowledge in their own barangays and provinces (i.e.
http://mytuy.net ) and I want to be able to help them and help our
Filipino children grow up more tech savvy. The question now is how I
can help!

I'm glad that I saw this group because I am hoping I can help in some
ways. My skills are mainly centered around people and organizing
(translation: pestering people), I have basic linux skills
(translation: I can understand people talking about clusters, samba
and basic networking but I have no coding skills) but I am perfectly
willing to try and embroil my fiance if development skills are needed.

Um, Ok I think I talk too much! Sorry. Just hoping I can help!

Athene
