[Olpc-open] Basic Maths?

Hi Tom,
There are a ton of activities out there like this one that were started at
some point and not finished, or else were finished but not kept up to date
as Sugar evolved.

I downloaded this one and tried it out.  Assuming that it wouldn't work, I
downloaded the .xo file using wget, unzipped it using unzip, and then ran
'python setup.py dev' in the BasicMaths.activity directory.  After
restarting Sugar I launched the activity and it came up just fine, but I
noticed the following problems:

- MANIFEST file is totally wrong, contains an extra path.
- Icon doesn't follow Sugar icon conventions.
- The activity itself is extremely basic.  It consists of an equation
missing an operator, with some operator buttons to click on, and text
telling you whether you were correct or not.

That said, it did work for me. It would be interesting to know what the Log
activity shows for it on your XO.  It would also be great to contact the
author and try to convince them to complete it.

We recently started a SugarLabs ActivityTeam to try and catalog and
(eventually) fix these kinds of activities, and it would help us a lot if
you could document this and any other finds at:

Also, there are a couple of Math-related Sugar activities in development
right now.  If you're interested in helping out with one, let me know and I
can point you in the right direction.
