Wahida, the wiki is generally the best source.
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Developer_Key (It's easiest to find by
googling, for instance: "developer's key" site:.laptop.org (with the
quotes) That searches for the exact term "developer's key" and limits
the search to official olpc sites.)

The instructions are easy and complete. You need to copy the
developer's key to a specific directory on your system.

"The developer key is not automatically copied to your laptop's internal
flash memory. You can do that once you have Linux running on it, by
copying security/develop.sig from the USB memory stick into
/security/develop.sig in the root filesystem of the laptop. You'll need
a root shell to do that; it can't be done from the Journal or the GUI."

The link tells you exactly how to do that.

Good luck!
