OLPC Oceania -- New discussion list on OLPC in Pacific Island Countries and
Territories

There are now OLPC XO laptops in use in 41 schools in 10 Pacific countries.
The projects affect an estimated 50,000 persons in remote Pacific
communities. Now educators, administrators, parents and community members
have a place where they can:

*	make announcements and share stories
*	discuss their projects, the technology, and the impact on student
learning
*	learn about and share knowledge and experience about OLPC in the
Pacific, from starting a new project to teacher training
*	find answers to specific problems, both educational and technical
*	share approaches to planning and deployment
*	develop sound practices to deliver curricula through digital media
*	source external expertise or volunteer assistance
*	discuss how students use technology, what software is available
*	work together on achieving regional, and national and community
education goals
*	petition donors for funding assistance and support
*	discuss ANY aspect to do with ICT in education in the Pacific.

This is a list for grass roots communities, administrators and project
managers alike. The list is a place for dialogue, discussion, knowledge
sharing and collaboration
