Brenda mentioned something about the OLPC friends group getting together on Saturday for a mini hack fest and that you might like to come hang out with us.<br>

We're having a mini one, too, on Saturday, that we've dubbed HackTest.<br>
<br>
I've copied in the details below. If you guys would like to relocate and help us out, we'd be happy to have you! We're providing a yummy pastry breakfast, pizza lunch and beer afternoon tea all for free to help fuel everyone.<br>

- Whip up some code samples to help other developers kick-start their own<br>

This is a low-key event - feel free to come along for however long you can, even just a couple of hours.<br>

DigitalNZ Search aggregates information about NZ digital content from more than 40 content providers and makes them available via an API.<br>
<br>

Here are just a few examples of what you could get up to:<br>
- Image analysis of thumbnails and search by colour<br>
- Build an advanced search based on DigitalNZ facets<br>

- Road-test the Ruby Gem<br>
- Extend the DigitalNZ Timeline app from MIT's Simile project<br>

A few designery-CSS-type-folk will also be in attendance, if you would like to make your app look pretty.<br>
