Hi OLPC-NZ,

I met Tabitha at an installfest at UoA about 3 years(?) ago.

OLPC really grabbed my interest, and now that my son is 3 years this
June, I've picked up a couple devices from the internet.

I'd like to get involved as a contributor. I have two boys ages 3 and
1 to look after on Saturdays, so I'm wondering how this can work with
attending meetings. I can also attend from remote, if available. I
won't be able to make every meeting, but can stay in touch via the
mailing list. I work well independently.

I have experience in programming bash shell, perl, php, and c. I work
with embedded devices every day at work, x86, ARM, and a MIPSEL oddball.

Looking forward to getting some python experience. I am happy to do
simple tasks that are suitable for testing the X0-1.

OLPC's website suggest that contributors can be eligible to receive
the newest version machine for development. If other's with the group
have succeeding in doing this, I'm interested in details.

I haven't gotten my machines yet. Any advice for preparation, or tasks
that can be performed off-chip are welcome.

	Bryan
