=> devel
Grant and Tim had a big discussion about developing Sugar. Lots of talk
relating to how to fix a few fairly large architectural flaws in Physics.
Also had a discussion about extending support for Write & how to call
AbiWord. Lack of documentation was a real hurdle. It's hard to see for
someone who is new to Python where modules are imported from.
Some things to take-away:
- Physics includes a few .egg archives inside of it. Is there a convention
for where external dependencies should live?
- Activities should have a file in their root directory that explains the
purpose of each of the Activity's files. That will make life much easier
for new developers.
=> outreach
Brenda spent quite a lot of time talking to families about the OLPC. Had
about 4 sets of parents coming and asking us where to get an XO from.
=> team stuff
I introduced Brenda & Grant to the testing wiki spreadsheet. They
seemed fairly happy with the idea.
